Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, and I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. My holidays were really special, filled with family, and friends. Lots of shopping, cooking, cleaning, and the usual running around one does this time of year. You know, the typical holiday craziness! But I loved every minute of it.

It wasn’t all running around, as I did get to take some time off from teaching. And now, I feel fully recharged and excited about the new year and what’s coming up this month at Albany Dance & Fitness.

Ballet, Essentrics, Balletone, Sensual Heeling and Zumba all continued throughout the holiday season and will carry on into the new year. The schedule is filled with a variety of dance styles and class times to choose from. After taking a short holiday break, Jazz, Salsa, and Belly Dance are all returning this month.

And if you have tried all the classes we offer, and you want to try something new, I’ve got exciting news. I’m pleased to announce a new dance class, West Coast Swing. It looks like it will be an exciting class, and I hope you’ll be able to join the fun.

What’s New at ADF?

  • Daytime classes are canceled on New Year’s Day. However Beginning Ballet and Pointe will be held that evening.
  • Jazz classes resume 1/3/24. Adv. Beginner Wednesday 10:30-11:45am and Int/Mixed Level Saturday 9:30-11:00am. Registration at projectconfidante.com/move/
  • A huge welcome to Christopher Bledsoe. Join his outstanding West Coast Swing classes beginning Saturday, 1/6/24. Beginners 4:00-5:00pm, Intermediate/Advanced 5:00-6:00pm. No partner required. Information and registration at westie-night-out.com/
  • A new Belly Dance session begins Thursday, 1/11/24. Level 1 6-7pm. New students try a class for $10 that evening. Contact Habiba at [email protected] or 518-330-8006 for more information and to register.
  • Gail will teach Beginning Ballet Sunday, 1/14/24.
