I know a couple of women who were beaten and abused when they were younger. They are both wonderful people and did not deserve this. No one does!

However the statistics are staggering. One in three women on the planet will be raped or beaten in her lifetime. With the world population at 7 billion, that’s one billion women (and girls).

As soon as I heard about the One Billion Rising event, I knew that I had to help in some way.  Thanks to a couple of the other instructors at the studio, Albany Dance & Fitness will offer two One Billion Rising dance classes on 2/14/13. The donation for each class is $5 and all proceeds will go to the Equinox Domestic Violence Services.
