It’s been a long time since my last post and while I’m always busy with the studio, this month I have a really good excuse. This last month, I’ve managed to fill what little spare time I have with many dance, fitness, and movement classes. I’ve especially enjoyed all the wonderful master classes at Albany Dance & Fitness, the workshops I’ve attended and classes at other locations.
It’s not that I need to work out more, in fact, I’m in better shape today than I was ten years ago. No, the reason I take as many classes as I can is to grow as an instructor. Taking classes gives me a chance to be on the other side of the room and see the class from the student’s point of view. I also enjoy the mental stimulation of learning new combinations and getting my body to move in new ways.
More master classes, workshops, and events will be coming soon to Albany Dance & Fitness. We have quite a line up for spring and I’m working on more for the summer months as well. Keep an eye out for an announcement for a Samba workshop with Lia Muniz and another Jazz master class with Christine Otto. Keep checking the calendar on this web site for updates and announcements.
I hope you can join me in class for some or all of our workshops and events. I’ll be there, ready to move and learn along with you.
