Dance, Read, or Write?

I admit it, I haven’t written a blog post in over a month. I do have a lot to tell you about, but haven’t jotted it down (where did April go?). In between teaching and taking many dance and fitness classes, I have managed to read a couple of dance books that I want to tell you about. And I’ve researched some health information that will benefit all of you.

I want to delve into these topics, but right now I have to finish the next issue of the Albany Dance & Fitness newsletter (yes, tomorrow is the first day of May even though you’d never know it by the weather). So, today’s post is going to be short and sweet.

I do want to let you know about some upcoming dance/fitness events that are being held in the capital region. They might even make great Mothers’ Day gifts!

  • Saturday, 5/10/14, 10:00am Pilates for a Purpose, Reform a True Pilates Studio, Saratoga Springs – a free Pilates class. Donations will benefit the Capital Region Dance Alliance.
  • Saturday, 5/10/14, 8:00pm Paul Taylor Dance Company, The Egg, Albany, NY – There is also a free pre-performance talk at 7:15pm.
  • Wednesday, 5/21/14, 6:30-8:00pm A Celebration of the Divine Feminine: Bliss Yoga and Goddess Dance , The Breathing Room, Delmar, NY – This workshop will be a collaboration of storytelling, yoga, dance, meditation, and affirmations. Taught by Meg Affonso  and Stephanie Marie ReMoan of Foxy Trot Dance.
  • Saturday, 5/31/14,1:00pm Women’s Self Defense Workshop,  Albany Dance & Fitness, Albany, NY – Empower yourself! Take control of your life… learn the secrets of personal safety and self-defense!
